Roma Street Parkland in Brisbane

Roma Street Parkland is the largest subtropical garden in the world, and covers 16 hectares in Brisbane. This park has an open air amphitheatre, at which plays are performed by the Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble and the Queensland Theatre Company as well as other events such as orchestral concerts happening there. Located adjacent to the Roma Street Station and the Brisbane Transit Centre, it is very easily accessible by transit and also has a car park area.   Roma Street Parkland offers picnic tables and BBQs throughout that are free for the public, and Melange cafe offers drinks, a la carte and sandwiches. They also have a train that is called the Parkland Explorer, which is an alternative to the guided walks and is a trackless train, with three stations to hop-on or hop-off at.  Both self-guided or guided tours are available to educate tourists about the flora and fauna indigenous to the region.
