Melbourne Zoo

This is the oldest zoo in Australia, and features some interesting and unique games and attractions. Visit the Gorilla Rainforest, where you get to see a family of Western Lowland Gorillas in their tropical rainforest home. This large exhibit has several viewing points, and offers the gorillas a variety of living conditions to keep them comfortable. Amazing Australians is an area that features Australia's iconic wildlife that live in the Australian Bush. The Butterfly House surrounds you with hundreds of colourful butterflies at rest or in flight in this gorgeous tropical glasshouse. The Trail of the Elephants takes visitors into an Asian village that houses the Zoo's five elephants and is an award winning development. Wild Sea connects visitors to the mystery and beauty of Victoria's coastline and waters. Orang-utan Sanctuary allows visitors to journey among elevated boardwalks and ascend into the Orang-utan's world in the treetops. Visit the thousands of animals and over 70,000 plant specimens of Melbourne Zoo's Zoological Gardens.
