Melbourne Night Clubs

You can not go to Melbourne without visiting one, or a few, of the nightclubs on offer. There are so many to choose from and one for everyone’s taste. Melbourne is known for it’s hidden bars in the city centre. Most bars and nightclubs in the city must be searched for down lonely looking alleyways and around dark corners. There is a very good guide to nightclubs and bars in Melbourne in the form of a deck of cards – Bar Secrets. These can be picked up in most bookstores or newsagents for around $10 and are mandatory if you wish to do a lot of clubbing or bar hopping. Here are a few notable clubs and bars in the city and outlying districts:

The City:

Arthur’s Lounge
Corporation Lane (off of Flinder’s Lane, between Russell and Exhibition Streets)
Takes patrons back to the days of Louis XIV. Red plush velvet booths and opulent chandeliers. There’s even a secret room in the back for debauchery.

Bennett’s Lane Jazz Club
