Circle City Tram, Melbourne

A free service for tourist, this tram provides "hop on, hop off" service to the Old Treasury Building, Federations Square, Parliament House and Princess Theatre. They additionally offer a running historical, architectural and cultural commentary as they pass through the city. This services runs in a circular route through major tourist attractions, hence the name Circle City. Introduced in 1994, this tram route was brought about by the Commonwealth Government's Building Better Cities program, and was updated in 2006 with Passenger Information Displays (PDI) and Digital Voice Announcements (DVA).
